Privacy Policy
OutTime - Aligner Timer
Summary
OutTime collects no personal data. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no way to access your information. Your data stays on your device — and, if you turn on optional iCloud Sync, in your own private iCloud account, which only you can access. We never receive your data either way.
Data Collection
OutTime collects no data whatsoever. Specifically:
- No personal information (no name, email, phone number, or account)
- No usage analytics or telemetry
- No crash reporting or diagnostics
- No device identifiers or tracking
- No location data
- No health data shared with Apple Health or any third party
Data Storage
All data you enter in OutTime (wear-time sessions, tray schedules, photos, reminders) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, this data is included in your device's system backup — the same backup that covers your other apps.
OutTime Pro additionally offers an optional iCloud Sync setting, which is off by default. When you turn it on, your OutTime data is synced across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit private database — it lives in your personal iCloud account, which only you can access. We do not operate any servers, we have no access to this data, and it is never visible to OutTime or its developer. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time; data already in your iCloud remains in your private iCloud until you remove it. Either way, nothing is ever transmitted to us, because we have no servers.
Photos
Smile Timeline photos are stored locally on your device. OutTime requests camera and photo library access only when you choose to take or import a photo. If you turn on iCloud Sync, your photos sync only through your own private iCloud. They are never uploaded to us, and never shared with any third party.
Third-Party Services
OutTime uses no third-party SDKs, libraries, or services. There is no Firebase, no analytics platform, no ad network, no crash reporter, and no social media SDK. The only external service used is Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is handled entirely by Apple.
In-App Purchases
OutTime Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. Purchase history is managed by Apple.
Notifications
All notifications in OutTime are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push notification server is used. We cannot send you notifications remotely.
Children's Privacy
OutTime does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page. Given that OutTime collects no data, we do not anticipate any changes.
